For the last meeting of 2021 we thought it would be nice to gather at the Noho Diner in North Hollywood together and share some Dinner Table Magic! Come prepared with an apatite and  some great Dinner Table Magic! \nEveryone will be on their own in paying for dinner\, but the club will be paying up to $10.00 for each member’s dinner. \nWe have made a reservation at Noho Dinner starting at 7:00 pm PST on December 2nd 2021. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our June meeting where we will be having Jeki Yoo lecture for the ring! \n \nJeki is an International Award Winner and Performer! \nAfter winning Asia’s greatest magic contest\, The Busan International Magic Festival\, in 2006 as a high school student\, Jeki began winning international contests like a comet. His magic was innovative\, inspired other magicians\, and roused applause from audiences around the globe with its fresh originality. \nIn 2009\, Jeki won a close-up magic award from the International Brotherhood of Magicians\, the world’s largest organization of magicians.  \nSince then\, Jeki and his magic have wowed audiences in England\, France\, Sweden\, Italy\, Japan\, China\, and many other countries including Scotland where\, as a member of SNAP\, one of Korea’s biggest magic shows\, he was invited to perform at the famed Edinburgh Festival.  \n Jeki has also graced the stage of the incredibly popular hit show America’s Got Talent.  Over 13 million people watched him perform his own unique style of close-up magic before an impressed panel of celebrity judges.  Even the infamous Simon Cowell was left stunned by what he had just witnessed.  Though Jeki didn’t continue on in the competition\, he left the stage having won the hearts of a nation. “Love your laugh”\, “(F)reaking awesome”\, “I love his giggle”\, and “Jeki is so cool” are just a few of the comments that hit social media afterward.  \nNot only was Jeki able to leave with his head held high\, but\, he also left crowned with the title “cutest magician of all time” (courtesy of America’s Got Talent by way of Twitter). \n​Lecture as always is free for members\, $10.00 for non members and we have a special $5.00 fee to attend for Magic Castle Members. DESCRIPTION:We have an exciting lecture lined up for March. Our very own Gerry Schiller will be lecturing on the topic of “Ideas for Zoom Performance”. I am very excited to see his take on Zoom and how it has impacted his performance/effect selection. \nThis lecture is free for anyone who would like to attend. \nLecture info: \n\n\nOur March meeting will feature a lecture by longtime Ring 21 member Gerald (Gerry) Schiller.\n\n\n\nHe has performed all over the U.S. as well as on cruises on China’s Yangtze River\n\n\nand Europe’s Danube.\n\n\n\nFor many years he has also been a Magic Castle member and performer—regularly doing his magic for the Parlour Brunch shows and doing “outreach” representing the Castle at hospitals and retirement facilities.\n\n\n\nHis lecture will focus on “Tricks on Zoom” and include adapting your magic to the challenge of a “virtual audience\,” choosing material that will work\, and the potential problems as well as the advantages of using the Zoom format.\n\n\nSome new—and some traditional—magic effects will be covered\, analyzed\, and explained. \n\n\n\nJoin Ring 21 members on Thursday\, March 4 at 7:00 pm for an informative and fun lecture.\n\nSee you all on Zoom!
