John exploded onto the scene in the early ’90s with the groundbreaking books Impossibilia and Smoke & Mirrors, followed by the iconic trick Twisted Sisters. His book Dear Mr. Fantasy is widely regarded as one of the finest magic books of its decade, and later collections like High Caliber, Destination Zero, and Mentalissimo quickly sold out to rave reviews.
His video projects—including Bullets After Dark, Bullet Party, Fire When Ready, Fractalicious, Sizzle, and the landmark Move Zero series—redefined what self-working card magic could be. For eight years, his Genii column “Dealing With It” showcased his signature blend of clarity, elegance, and killer impact.
His 2023 release Very Hush-Hush sold out in weeks and is now in its third printing—proof that his thinking is sharper than ever.
